STANDING COMMITTEES: For anyone wishing to be on the following committees, I would ask that you submit your name, address, and a phone number and what committee or committees you are interested in to the Union Hall at 440-884-779. Committees that are available are the Union Label, Education, Recreation, CAP/Legislative, Civil Rights, Veterans’, Chaplaincy, and the Women’s Committees. I would like to finalize these committees by Friday, June 27, 2008 so that we can start planning for future events.

RETIREES’ RECOGNITION DAY: Due to the large number of members that will be retiring effective July 1, 2008, on Friday, June 27, 2008, we will be recognizing those retiring at the Union Hall staring at 9:00 a.m. You can either turn your badge in here at the Plant or at the Union Hall on the day of the event. We do ask that if you plan on bringing a family member(s) into the Plant, that you follow all of our safety protocol as we do not want anything happening to our loved ones.

UNION PICNIC: The Local 1005 Union Picnic will be held Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. Please see your Union bulletin board for details in the near future.

UAW LOCAL 1005 GOLF OUTING TOURNAMENT: The deadline for entry forms for the UAW Local 1005 Golf Outing Tournament will be Monday, June 16, 2008. Entry forms are available at the Union Hall, Caddy Shack and the Work Center. Again, the Tournament will be held Sunday, June 22, 2008 at Mallard Creek in Columbia Station.
